GMOS JUST GOT A LOT MORE FRIGHTENING WITH APPROVAL OF NEW MONSANTO PRODUCT

Forget spraying pesticides on your food, now they’ll be genetically engineered to be in your food, thanks to Monsanto’s latest quiet approval via the US Environmental Protection Agency.
The EPA just told Monsanto they could go ahead and bypass spraying our crops with carcinogenic chemicals like Round Up and just go ahead and breed them right into the crops themselves. Using a process called RNA interference, Monsanto’s RNAi plant will supposedly kill pesky rootworms when they come along to chomp on them- but what else will these genetically modified crops do to beneficial bugs, the soil, and human health? The EPA has no idea, because they haven’t done a single trial on RNAi-altered crops.
Nonetheless, the EPA quietly gave Monsanto a Get-Out-of-Jail-Free card by allowing them to move forward with their genetically modified corn strain. Some are calling this a genetic weapon, in its infancy. Others are concerned that RNAi will have ramifications for the biosphere that – just like all of Monsanto’s other products – don’t come to light for years to come.
For instance, the National Honey Bee Advisory Board said in comments submitted to the E. P. A. before a ‘meeting’ in which this controversial genetic technology was to be reviewed,

The National Security ‘Experts’ Denouncing Trump Are a Who’s Who of Disastrous Neocons

This piece first appeared at TomDispatch.com.
It’s not every day that Republicans publish an open letter announcing that their presidential candidate is unfit for office. But lately this sort of thing has been happeningmore and more frequently. The most recent example: we just heard from 50 representatives of the national security apparatus, men – and a few women – who served under Republican presidents from Ronald Reagan to George W. Bush. All of them are very worried about Donald Trump.
They think we should be alerted to the fact that the Republican standard-bearer ‘lacks the character, values, and experience to be president.’
That’s true of course, but it’s also pretty rich, coming from this bunch. The letter’s signers include, among others, the man who was Condoleezza Rice’s legal advisor when she ran the National Security Council (John Bellinger III); one of George W. Bush’s CIA directors who also ran the National Security Agency (Michael Hayden); a Bush administration ambassador to the United Nations and Iraq (John Negroponte); an architect of the neoconservative policy in the Middle East adopted by the Bush administration that led to the invasion of Iraq, who has since served as president of the World Bank (Robert Zoellick). In short, given the history of the ‘global war on terror,’ this is your basic list of potential American war criminals.
Their letter continues, ‘He weakens U. S. moral authority as the leader of the free world.’
There’s a sentence that could use some unpacking.

Central Banks Could Be This Market’s Pets.com

The stock market is partying like it’s 1999, and for exactly the opposite reason. Last week the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq Composite hit a synchronized high for the first time since the eve of the millennium. America’s most valuable company is a tech stock (Apple today, Microsoft back then). The tech sector is back above a fifth of S&P 500 market capitalization, and just as then bears worry that the market is overvalued, although not by anywhere near as much.
In 1999, wild optimism was elevating the market as investors piled into anything with ‘.com’ after its name – leading to a rash of stock-price-boosting name changes. Investors punished dividend payers for not having enough ways to spend money on transformative tech. The number of clicks beat cash flow as an investment tool.
The contrary is true this year. Wild pessimism about the global economy has led investors to chase dividend payments, demand buybacks and punish companies that invest. Cash is king.
And yet, the market rises. ‘Nobody seems to be particularly optimistic about much of anything and yet the stock market in the U. S. seems to do nothing but go up,’ said Ben Inker, co-head of asset allocation at Boston fund manager GMO.

THE REAL REASON HILLARY CLINTON WON’T ALLOW HER CORPORATE SPEECHES TO BE PUBLISHED

In a previous report, I indicated ‘Why Hillary Clinton’s Paid Speeches Are Relevant’, but not what they contained. The present report indicates what they contained.
One speech in particular will be cited and quoted from as an example here, to show the type of thing that all of her corporate speeches contained, which she doesn’t want the general public to know about.
This is the day’s keynote speech, which she gave on Wednesday, 25 June 2014, to the Biotechnology Industry Organization, a lobbying organization in DC, at their annual convention, which in 2014 was held in San Diego. The announcement for attendees said: ‘Wednesday’s Keynote session is sponsored by Genentech, and is open to Convention registrants with Convention Access and Convention Access & Partnering badges only. Seating is limited.’ Somehow, a reporter from a local newspaper, the Times of San Diego, managed to get in. Also, somehow, an attendee happened to phone-video the 50-minute interview that the BIO’s CEO did of Clinton, which took place during the hour-and-a-half period, 12-1:30, which was allotted to Clinton.
The Times of San Diego headlined that day, ‘Hillary Clinton Cheers Biotechers, Backing GMOs and Federal Help’, and gave an excellent summary of her statements, including of the interview. Here are highlights:

“I Am Not Your Experiment” – Thousands Around The World Protest GMO Giant Monsanto

A little over a year ago, GMO giant Monsanto was furious at the World Health Organization for linking glypshophate, the chief ingredient in weed killer Roundup, to cancer. As a result Monsanto immediately demanded that WHO retract said report, saying that the report was biased and contradicts regulatory findings that the ingredient, glyphosate, is safe when used as labeled.
A working group at WHO said after reviewing scientific literature it was classifying glyphosate as “probably carcinogenic to humans.” Howeber Monsanto was relentless and said that “we question the quality of the assessment,” according to Philip Miller, Monsanto vice president of global regulatory affairs. “The WHO has something to explain.”
In retrospect it may have been Monsanto who had something to explain, which it did, indirectly, when last week another report was released, this time from the U. N.’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), according to which Roundup’s glyphosphate is unlikely to cause cancer in people. Continuing the explanation, diazinon and malathion, two other pesticides reviewed by the committee, which met last week and published its conclusions on Monday, were also found to be unlikely to be carcinogenic.
“In view of the absence of carcinogenic potential in rodents at human-relevant doses and the absence of genotoxicity by the oral route in mammals, and considering the epidemiological evidence from occupational exposures, the meeting concluded that glyphosate is unlikely to pose a carcinogenic risk to humans from exposure through the diet,” the committee said.
As Reuters itself notes, the conclusions appear to contradict the abovementioned finding by the WHO’s Lyon-based International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which in March 2015 said glyphosate is “probably” able to cause cancer in humans and classified it as a ‘Group 2A’ carcinogen. This is when the alarm bells at Monsanto went off and, according to some, the company’s spending on favorable reports shot through the roof. The result was immediate.

ONE YEAR BEFORE PARIS ATTACKS, FRANCE DENOUNCED MONSTROUS TTIP TRADE DEAL

The TTIP is under fire for a wide number of reasons. Everything from Intellectual Property Rights, GMO’s, stopping the harmful effects of fracking, ;pharmaceutical drug company monopolies and internet surveillance are major concerns for anyone living in Europe at this time of TTIP negotiations. In fact, the TTIP, or Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership has faced massive opposition from people all over Europe and indeed the world, including over 50,000 protesters in Germany in early 2015. Similarly, a European Anti-TTIP petition launched in 2014 gained over 1 million signatures in just two months, showing great opposition from an informed European public.
The TTIP would create loopholes that if passed, would allow forgenetically modified foods from America to flood European markets despite the EU’s current ban. The agreement would also expand fracking in Europe, compromising citizen health as well as the environment for the sake of corporate profit.
This is all achieved through something called the Investor State Dispute Settlement mechanism (ISDS), which is included in the TTIP agreement. This mechanism would allow corporations to take entire countries to ‘private international tribunals’ if they pass a law which undermines their ‘expected future profits’. This means that if GMO labeling or fracking restrictions interfere with a company’s figures, that country will be taken to a secret international court, tried and forced to compensate for their loss. In other words, the European TTIP and American TPP agreements are the end of democracy and the beginning of total corporate dominance of our planet and lives.

Ultimate Weapon in Existential Struggle: Using the TPP for Hostile Takeover of Mexican Agriculture

Monsanto & Friends are already rejoicing.
By Don Quijones, Spain & Mexico, editor at WOLF STREET.
Resisting Monsanto, the world’s largest, most influential GMO giant, is an almost impossible task. The corporation boasts more back channels and revolving doors with national governments and regulators than just about any other company on the planet, not to mention a fearsome army of corporate lawyers and lobbyists.
Few countries are more aware of this fact than Mexico, where a small collective of activist groups, scientists, artists and gourmet chefs have been engaged in a titanic legal struggle with Monsanto. Although they keep winning crucial battles, the war is still likely to be won by Monsanto, thanks to one key weapon in its arsenal: the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
An Existential Struggle
For Mexican smallholders and consumers, the struggle with Monsanto & Friends is an existential one. In a 2013 ruling banning the cultivation of GMOs in Mexico, Judge Manuel Zaleta cited the potential risks to the environment posed by GMO corn. If the biotech industry got its way, he argued, more than 7000 years of indigenous maize cultivation in Mexico would be endangered, with the country’s 60 varieties of corn directly threatened by cross-pollination from transgenic strands.

Americans ‘Too Fearful to Face’ Facts That the Republic is Dead, the Country is Gone

Editor’s Comment: No matter what happens in the news, most Americans just can’t face it. At ballgames, schools, churches, meetings, jobs and stores, Americans tend to salute the flag, accept b.s. rationales for evil deeds and stupid policies, and shun inconvenient truths that would otherwise inform a thinking person that the game is rigged, that the Republic is dead, and that the country is gone.
Agree or not, the issues raised below are crucial to the arrangement of government, and the power of the people in that government. By all accounts, corruption has become legalized, government has assumed all meaningful power – except that which is reserved to the corporations and banks – and rule of law has been replaced by rule of an elite who make their own rules. Academic studies, Congressman and Federal Reserve chairs now acknowledge that the United States has become an oligarchy… and oligarchies consist mainly of a few noblemen, and a mass population of obedient and powerless serfs. Better face up, because nothing is going to change for the better by ignoring it.

10 Disturbing Facts Most Americans Are Too Fearful To Face
By Bernie Suarez
Sometimes you have to put out information in hopes that those who haven’t heard this will at least absorb a fraction of it. If you haven’t heard this and you absorb just one of these random points, I believe that may be enough to cause a major paradigm shift in your life or in the life of someone you know. Here are 10 random, mostly recent but some archival information that is factual and verifiable for anyone willing to look it up.
1. Genetically Modified Foods are illegal in many countries for health and medical reasons all the while the U. S. passes laws making GMO labeling illegal.
You may be thinking, say what? That’s right. U. S. citizens are being propagandized daily and are being practically forced to blindly consume GMOs while countries like Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, Madeira, New Zealand, Peru, Australia, Russia, France and Switzerland all have booted Monsanto and their GMO crops from their countries. That’s like being booted out of a town for being a rapist and child molester only to have that same person settle into the next town over and become a grade school teacher or pastor. Now imagine the citizens of that other town having a law forced on them that says rapists and child molesters must be allowed to teach little kids and run churches. That’s what we’re talking about here.
While humanity in other countries wakes up fully to the dangers of GMO foods, Monsanto and other GMO food producers are having a feast in the U. S. buying out politicians, distorting news, research and evidence that proves GMO foods are directly linked to cancer. Like a scene from a bad movie, only it’s not a movie. Actually it’s YOUR life if you are in the United States dealing with this nightmare.
As bizarre as it seems, only in the U. S. do criminal corporations like Monsanto enjoy the benefits of the support of the political and legal system. A bird’s eye view of the situation clearly shows how corrupt and evil the control system in the United States really is. Sadly, most Americans have no idea that they are being lied to every day and lured into eating dangerous cancer-causing and health-destroying food just so that someone can profit from your disease later on.
2. As a result of ‘Act of 1871′ by the 41st Congress, the United States ‘Corporation’ was created to trample the original Republic.

Grocery Lobby Sends B.S. Letter to Vermont Governor Whining GMO Labels Will Cost $10M a Day

Apparently we can have labels on our food. In fact, we already do. A great variety of them, in fact.
Apparently those labels can have lots and lots of words on them. Words like ‘quality’ and ‘all natural’ which don’t really mean anything in a legal sense as defined by the Food and Drug Administration. Apparently those words can be comprised of the 26 letters of our standard English alphabet. Apparently those letters can include ‘G,’ ‘M,’ and even ‘O’.
However, according to the giant lobbying group Grocery Manufacturer Association, for some reason it’ll cost a whopping $10 million dollars a day in fines if those letters are put together on a label in that order to alert customers to the fact that they might be buying and eating a genetically modified organism.

The Chilling Thing an Industry Insider Said about Glyphosate, GMOs, and Why He Sold His Conventional Seeds Company

Dan Romig, who along with his father co-founded Trigen Seed LLC in 1993 and bloodstresold to Limagrain Cereal Seeds in 2010, is an insider in the seeds industry. His father was head of R&D at Northrup King, a subsidiary of Syngenta, which Monsanto is currently trying to acquire.
The combined Monsanto-Syngenta behemoth would control a third of the globe’s seed and pesticides markets.
Among the controversies surrounding Roundup, Monsanto’s flagship product, and largest selling weed killer in the world, there is this one: the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), a component of the UN’s World Health Organization, declared that glyphosate, one of the active ingredients in Roundup, is ‘probably carcinogenic.’
Don Quijones, in his article on WOLF STREET, Monsanto Bites Back, vivisected the implications of the Monsanto-Syngenta deal and issues surrounding glyphosate.

The March Against the March Against the March Against Monsanto

This Saturday, the third annual March Against Monsanto will be taking place in cities around the globe as people exercise their right to free speech and clean, organic food and really just simply to know what exactly it is they are eating and what effects that food has on their health.
Via the official March Against Monsanto website:
Research studies have shown that Monsanto’s genetically-modified foods can lead to serious health conditions such as the development of cancer tumors, infertility and birth defects. In the United States, the FDA, the agency tasked with ensuring food safety for the population, is steered by ex-Monsanto executives, and we feel that’s a questionable conflict of interests and explains the lack of government-lead research on the long-term effects of GMO products. Recently, the U. S. Congress and president collectively passed the nicknamed ‘Monsanto Protection Act’ that, among other things, bans courts from halting the sale of Monsanto’s genetically-modified seeds.
For too long, Monsanto has been the benefactor of corporate subsidies and political favoritism. Organic and small farmers suffer losses while Monsanto continues to forge its monopoly over the world’s food supply, including exclusive patenting rights over seeds and genetic makeup. Monsanto’s GMO seeds are harmful to the environment; for example, scientists have indicated they have caused colony collapse among the world’s bee population.

Monsanto On Its Products: ‘They Will Not Hurt You,’ [But We Avoid Consuming Them]

You have not forgotten about Monsanto and their unhealthy GMOs, have you? Too often, it is out of sight, out of mind. Companies and puppet governments, like the US, count on mass forgetfulness. Here is one Monsanto stooge advocating the good of Monsanto’s use of chemicals in the food system, particularly glyphosate, the active ingredient ‘not increasing the rate of cancer in Argentina.’
Freud would call that confirmation by denial, but if you refuse to accept that premise, is it not curious that ‘glyphosate’ and ‘cancer’ are found in the same sentence? This lobbyist proclaims, ‘I am not stupid,’ when offered to drink a glass of the allegedly harmless glyphosate. Anyone else choosing to consume it, however, must fall in the ranks of stupidity.
Keep buying those Monsanto GMOs at your grocery store. It is unlikely you will find any GMO labeling because Monsanto believes its products are so good, they keep it hidden. Monsanto has the same motto as Obama, when assuring the public about the use of NSA spying on the world, ‘Trust us.’ You betcha!

The Maui GMO ban, human experimentation, and war crimes

~The hidden issue~
I’ve been keeping my mouth shut for a while on this explosive issue, because I was waiting for the results of a March 10 hearing. Now, strangely, the hearing has been postponed at the last minute.
My readers know I was, for a time, covering the Maui-Monsanto-Dow war extensively.
To summarize: in the last election, the voters of Maui, in a ballot measure, decided to place a temporary ban on further Dow/Monsanto GMO/pesticide experiments in Maui County.
Immediately, Monsanto, Dow, and yes, even the County government of Maui (betraying their own voters), lined up against the results of the vote.
Monsanto and Dow, joined by the Maui County government, sued to nullify the results of the vote, claiming the regulation of GMOs comes under the control of the state of Hawaii and the federal government, and can’t be decided at the county level.
That’s where we are now. The voters’ demands are suspended in limbo. Their legal call for an independent commission to investigate the practices of Monsanto and Dow in Maui County, and decide whether they threaten the people and the land – that urgent call has been silenced for the time being.

[GMO Horror Story] Attack of the Killer Fish Pigs!

The year is 2055…
Mutant fish-pigs have taken over the planet and hoarded the world’s food supply.
Entire cities have been taken over.
Lady Liberty has been replaced by an even bigger effigy…
It’s an unspeakably ridiculous downfall of humanity.
And we have one company to thank. Take a wild guess.
Yep. You got it.
Monsanto.
Like most man-made disasters, good intentions and a heavy helping of stupidity were at the genesis.
The goal, you see, was to create a ‘super fish-pig.’
(It sounds dumb even saying it.)
In 2033, you see, Monsanto publicly merged with the United States government. Now, with billions of dollars at their disposal, the experiments got real weird.
Though GMOs were completely out of favor by this time (but eaten because that’s all that was left), Monsanto kept on its relentless path. It kept trying to show the world how innovative GMOs were.
Maybe it was guilt. Maybe it was a need to be loved.
But Monsanto should’ve known that it was time to throw in the towel. The Great Food Crisis was still fresh in everyone’s minds.
No one would dare publicly support them. Aside from the crooks and cronies within the government, of course.
Oh, you haven’t heard of the Great Food Crisis?
Jeez…
Well, here’s how it played out.
First, all the bees died. And then all the small farmers were sued or forced out of existence. Yep. All of them.
Then, the superbugs started to get out of control. These little steely-eyed bastards could handle all the pesticides we threw at them. They’d adapted beyond anything Monsanto even thought possible.
In only a few years, the superbugs ravaged through 75% of the United States’ crops before the National Guard could contain them.
Meanwhile, while we devoted all our resources to killing the bugs, the super weeds gained traction.
And just like that… food was scarce. And the rationing began.

Monsanto’s ‘zombie wheat’ case reveals serious legal vulnerabilities in business model

Monsanto’s business model is falling apart right in front of their own face, because the biotech firm blatantly disrespects the property rights of farmers, contaminating their fields with unauthorized genetically modified seeds. These unapproved GMO seeds inevitably cross-contaminate farmers’ fields, effectively destroying their yields. That’s exactly what happened in Oregon last year when some unauthorized “zombie wheat” from the Monsanto Company went from the lab and intermixed with a farmer’s natural wheat. The debacle disrupted wheat exports as Japan and South Korea blocked shipments. A contingency of farmers have joined forces and sued Monsanto.
Monsanto may finally admit to cross-contaminating farmers’ wheat Although the details of the case have been kept private, Monsanto did acknowledge that an “agreement in principle has been reached, but not finalized.”
Dave Murphy, founder of Food Democracy Now, is encouraging the farmers not to settle but to stand their ground. This case could establish a new precedent forbidding Monsanto and other biotech firms from cross-contaminating farmers’ crops. “Monsanto never settles unless they’re seriously vulnerable, and the farmers and lawyers involved in this case should reject any settlement,” said Murphy. “Contamination of farmers’ crops has been an integral part of Monsanto’s business plan, and these farmers need to gain strong legal protections from future contamination events, which are happening daily in farmers’ fields all over the world.”

Mexican Judge Departs From Script, Turns Monsanto’s Mexican Dream Into Legal Nightmare

The U. S. agribusiness giant Monsanto is long accustomed to getting its own way. Through a combination of back-channel lobbying, opaque political funding and revolving-door politics, the multinational agrochemical and biotechnology corporation has subverted, corrupted and infiltrated the elected governments of countries around the world, from the smallest and poorest to the biggest and richest.
However, if recent events in Europe and Latin America are any indication, the tide may well be subtly turning against the interests of Monsanto and its fellow GMO oligopolies and in the favor of independent food growers and consumers. Despite their tireless lobbying efforts in Brussels, the ‘Big Six’ (Monsanto, Du Pont Pioneer, Syngenta, Vilmorin, Winfield and KWS) continue to hit a brick wall of resistance in many of Europe’s biggest markets, including Germany and France. As I reported in April this year, popular resistance is on the rise across Latin America, as indigenous and peasant communities rise up against government legislation that would apply brutally rigid intellectual copyright laws to the crop seeds they are able to grow.

Monsanto Trickbag 101

Use a GMO contaminated bag of conventional seed, get sued for patent infringement. By the way, expect contamination.
It’s a setup, the game is rigged, the fix is in. Monsanto sues if its agents find the company’s patented gene in your crop, even if you never bought its genetically engineered (GMO) seeds. But does that mean diddley squat to Monsanto?
No. Here is a bit of logic, Monsanto style:
If the plant is found in your possession, then that means you have used the seed. If you have used the seed, then you have agreed to the technology use agreement, and owe Monsanto your crop, your seed and your profits. It doesn’t matter how the seed actually arrived in your possession.
Just ask Percy…
